We are excited to welcome our cheerleaders and families for the upcoming season

Fall Sideline Cheer Season time commitment:

• Regular Season Practices: Monday & Wednesday evenings (begin August 5th or 12th; 1.5 to 2 hours after 5:30pm)
• Playoff/Championship Practices: Wednesday evenings (begin October 30; 1.5 hours after 5:30pm)
• Team Camp:  2-3 days - tentatively week of August 5th or 12th, 9:00am-3:00pm
• Football Jamboree: Game cheering & field performance (tentatively 8/24 or 8/25) 
• Saturday Games:  Begin September 7 (Regular season runs through October 26 &  Playoff/Championship games are November 2, 9, and 16)
• Family Concession Volunteer Requirement: Each family of a cheerleader must provide one volunteer ages 18 or older to work 1 shift in our Pop Keeney Concession Stand during a High School Football Game (September-November game options on Thurs/Fri/Sat, appx. 4 hour shift)
• Family Volunteer Requirement: We ask each family to help our program or their squad in some way during the season. Please indicate your preferred volunteer role during registration.

All practices and games/events are mandatory to participate in the program.  

We also coordinate additional activities throughout the season that we highly encourage all to participate in, from community events to Jr. Cougar Night at a Bothell High School Varsity Football game!

Fundraising requirements:

• Concession volunteering requirements cover our field, insurance and non-profit administrative costs.
• We will have fundraising events but not a minimum fundraising $ requirement for cheerleaders.
• Other ways to support our program include attending our dinner night out events, providing donations for our wish list items, referring sponsors for our season, buying Bothell Jr. Cheer fan gear/swag, and corporate matching/giving for volunteer hours or donations.

If you are unsure your family can commit to the above dates or have questions, please attend our virtual info night on April 3 @ 7pm  or in-person night for Football & Cheer in May (details to be announced on our Cheer page).

Who can participate:

Registration is open to girl and boy athletes in 1st through 8th grade for the 2024 - 2025 school year. Kindergarten is allowed at the discretion of our Cheer Directors (email bothellcougarjrcheer@gmail.com). We DO accept athletes that live outside Northshore School District boundaries or attend private school. 

Fees:

To register, you can pay in full OR sign up for a payment plan that includes a deposit, processing fee and final payment (June 3). Unfortunately, we are not able to provide refunds.

• Returning Cheerleaders (2023 season) - $500. Includes game uniform, cheer shoes, game bow. 
• New Cheerleaders - $650. Includes all items above plus jacket, backpack and pom poms.
• Each cheerleader will receive a practice t-shirt (Sponsored by Service Electric).
• Additional t-shirts or replacement items for returning cheerleaders can be purchased at check-out. For new cheerleaders: please do not order a jacket, backpack or pom poms unless you want two of these items. These items are included in your registration cost!

>> Spring/Summer Clinics and Competition team:  Registration and fees are separate. More information will be provided this Spring on our website and social media.

Coaching Opportunity - Get a discount on registration:

Do you have previous cheer, dance, gymnastics or coaching experience?

We are looking for  PARENT/ADULT COACHES for the following grade levels:

• Head Coach/Assistant Coaches: Kindergarten-4th grade
• Assistant Coaches: 7-8 grade

You can receive a $100 discount for head coaching & $50 for assistant coaching.

Email our Directors (bothellcougarjrcheer@gmail.com) before starting registration for the discount code. Returning coaches from the 2023 season should also email for their discount code!

Registration Next Steps:

This registration session will allow you to complete contact information, sign up for volunteer roles, add additional uniform items to your order, and submit payment.
